设计概念 Design Concepts

本案是个多面向量体，外墙包覆层就如同可反穿的袜子一般，内外一体，让梅比斯环 (Moebius strip)般的循环系统，日以继日地在建物内发生。

本案地景植披，在外部受压缩扭曲后，或皱摺或展开，空间向内缩或向外弹出，巧妙转化室内/外空间的连接关係。建筑设计不能只可以看到的型体，而是能够提供更多面向思维的机制。

“台中市文化中心”将提供多元的入园路径，量体交错与视觉的穿越，符合建筑学者-科林•罗(Colin Rowe)所强调建筑空间的“穿越性”与其概念的多重组合。本案藉着建筑元素的并列与整合，编织出虚实交替的参观动线。

A Moebius strip applied to the day to day. In this topology, the inside becomes outside, while the outside folds into smooth or striated surfaces, folded and unfolded, invaginated or springing outwards. An architectural design does not just lead to something that you can look at, it is a device capable of providing more than the object itself.

The “Taichung City Cultural Center” allows for varied access ways, physical and visual crossings, due to the multiple combinations of meaning of architectural space highlighted by Colin Rowe with the concept of “transparency”. These physical and mental journeys are organized by the proposed spaces juxtaposed or integrated to the building premises.

宽阔的遮阴入口广场是台中城市文化馆的主要入口，是通向中央公园的大门及观景平台主要入口接待区以空桥的形式，横跨在两座人造小丘之上。矩形的图书馆量体遮盖着宽广的穿廊，画龙点睛地表现出地景与建物的关係。这个多面向的据点俨然是整体规划的焦点。两丘之间通风凉爽的微气候，自然形成参访者相约的新据点。

图书馆量体中挖空的圆形天井，成为湿热空气自然消散的出口，也显现出人造小丘的量体感。日间的光束在建筑间互动，形成一个集合崭新样式的巅峰，引导着前来观光的人群。彷彿自然嵌入混凝土外壳的阶梯，导向通往图书馆的一楼入口层，人们可以由此穿越建筑物，更进一步形成一条由小丘往下走通往公园的休闲步行人们可以清楚地看到，小丘上的切口向美术馆馆延伸并在地下室展开，和对面露天剧场的较小切口遥遥相望，排列在街道上的商店两侧。后者同时作为广场和博物馆之间的过渡空间。第三个较平缓的小丘则作为停车场入口的指向标。

The shaded piazza, the entrance to the TCCC, the gateway to the park and a choice observatory. The main reception area / piazza spans the center between the building’s two hill bases. The vast through space, overshadowed by the mass of the library, deftly reveals the topology of the venue and gives one a sense of dimension relating to the whole. This multifaceted spot, is focal point of the composition. Airy and sheltered from the sun, it sets the stage for the center’s visitors, encouraging them to adopt new “postures” and fosters a micro climate between the two hills and the main body of the building.

An overhead opening releases the heated air and reveals the bulk of this hilly site. All throughout the day, a beam of light, a new collective meridian of sorts, orders the groups of casual strollers. By itself, the mere choice of venue establishes and amplifies this state of mind. The vertical co-penetration of the volumes of the park and the flatness of the road system marshal our project’s diagrammatic figures, where we deal with lines, layers, traces, myths, faults, excavations and / or extrusions. Steps, as if naturally embedded into the concrete shell, lead to the first floor towards the entrance of the library, and allow one to pass through the building, laying out an architectural promenade down from the hill to the park. As seen by people passing by, a crevice in the hill flows towards the museum which spreads out in the basement, to the opposite side, a smaller cut holds access to the amphitheater, which lies side by side with the store on the street. The later is layed out as a functional transition between the piazza and the museum. A third more moderate protrusion a little to the side signals the entrance to the parking area.

Jean-loup Baldacci

Jean-loup Baldacci在1975年出生于法国巴黎。
2005年，毕业于Ecole d’Architecture Paris Malaquais.
曾于菲利斯.菲缪里建筑及博物馆技术学事务所（www.fanuelearchitecture.com.）工作六年。
2006年，与一位日籍女子结婚，并且开始在法国与日本两地，成为一个自由接案的的建筑设计者。然后，他也成功地与巴黎的STUDIO MILOU architecture合作，领导主持新加坡国际机场的国家艺廊的设计工程，以及数个巴黎重要文化设施。
在持续地与法国、巴黎和日本京都的一些建筑及视觉工作室合作的同时，他也于2011年成立了自己的工作室。

Jean-loup Baldacci

Jean-loup Baldacci was born in Paris, France in 1975.
He graduated from Ecole d’Architecture Paris Malaquais in 2005.
He worked for 6 years in the architecture and museography offi ce of Felice Fanuele architect, in Paris: http://www.fanuelearchitecture.com.
In 2006, he married a Japanese woman and started working as a freelance architect and infographist in France & Japan.
He then started a successful collaboration as free-lance architect with STUDIO MILOU architecture (Paris) leading to the design and construction of the Singapore National Art Gallery and several cultural facilities in France.
While continuing to collaborate with several other architecture and visualization offices in Paris, France and Kyôto, Japan, he established his own practice in 2011.
